Disneyland Day 1

We got our annual passes back! Yeah! I know all of you were missing our tons of Disney pictures. :) Anyways, we had a fun fall day at Disneyland!

Rylie was excited to get a lanyard so she could start collecting pins.

Grayson was not a fan of Goofy! He really loves Mickey Mouse, but his line was way too long! :)

Minnie picked Rylie to walk with her down Main Street! Rylie was in heaven! :)

California and the 50

We had the amazing chance to go to California for Rylie's entire Fall break...2 whole weeks! Brandon drove us out and stayed for the first weekend and then flew home to work before flying back out at the end and then driving us home (I was very grateful he was willing to do this!).

The first day we were there, we had family pictures taken so we all got to spend a lot of time together. It was a blast! They recently brought their old motorcycle out and the kids had a blast on the 50! (Thanks to my cousins, Radiant Photography, for the fun, informal pics...the rest of the shoot will be seen later...after Christmas cards!)

(PS...if we would have known there was going to be professional photos taken of our fun afternoon, we probably would have dressed Grayson and had Rylie change out of her pjs. :) )

Love her face in this one!

Photographers get to have fun too!

Cartwheel

Rylie has been working so hard to get her cartwheel at gymnastics...and she has had great results! We are so proud of her for sticking with it!

A ribbon and a sucker

Grayson got a ribbon at swim lessons and his very first sucker. Obviously, he loved the sucker...and had an epic meltdown when he finished it and I had to take the stick from him. You win some, you lose some! :)

Daddy Daughter Date

One night when we were at the mall, I was told to take Grayson and please leave so that Rylie and Daddy could have a date at Starbucks. I couldn't resist snapping this on my way out. :)

Love

I just love these 2 (and most days, they seem to love each other)!

Park fun (finally)

We had the craziest rain storm (no, I'm serious...in less than 24 hours, Chandler had received more than 5.6 inches of rain!!) this September and literally everything around us was flooded. While taking Rylie to school, I saw people kayaking and paddle boarding (!!) down their street! Our neighborhood luckily did not flood, but our neighborhood park most definitely did. Fortunately for the kids, the playground part of it did not and because of the storm, the temperatures were actually bearable enough to go play. This was really the first time Grayson has played at a park and been able to go down the slides by himself. He was a huge fan!

New Splash Pad

Chandler Mall opened a new splash pad and so we met Lynn and her grandkids over there one day for some splash pad and ice cream fun.

Grayson's Big Move in Swim Lessons

Grayson is now in a swim class without me! He does so much better without Brandon or I in the pool with him. He looked like such a big boy sitting on the side waiting his turn.

They are definitely our kids!

I was making dinner one night and had turned on a football game. I look over to the living room to see this and hear Rylie tell Grayson that "we watch football here!" Definitely our children! :)

Staycation 2014

Mimi came into town for Labor Day and we all headed to a Scottsdale resort for a little staycation for the long weekend. We had a blast playing in the great pool, eating yummy food, shopping, and just being together. Brandon and I even got to go out for a fun date night! Definitely one of the benefits of living in hot AZ...all of the great hotel rates you can find in the summer!

Grayson's first Build-a-bear (a puppy) and Rylie picked out the brightest, most colorful bear she could find (no shocker there).

Pool fun at the resort! They had this great "kiddie" pool that was separate and shallow enough for Grayson to stand up in.

Pedicures for the girls!

We love the splash pad at Scottsdale Quarter.
