Go 'Lopes!

We have a good family friend that is one of the basketball coaches for Vanguard University in Southern California and they were in town to play Grand Canyon last night. If you don't already know, Brandon's undergrad was done at Grand Canyon and now he works for them as a full time faculty member. We decided it would be a fun time to take Rylie to her first college basketball game. And sorry, Boomer, we had to cheer for the 'Lopes... :)

Yes, she has popcorn in her mouth in every picture. I'm pretty sure this is why she likes sporting events...nothing wrong with a little bribery! :)

Showing off her future 'Lopes shirt.

Making the 'Lopes sign with her hand...

...and trying really hard to make it again. :)

This cheering stuff is exhausting!

Thanksgiving Weekend 2012

For Thanksgiving this year, we headed to Pinetop to my parents cabin. We actually celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday when more of our extended family was able to come up and join us. It's always nice to get out of Phoenix and into the cooler weather and just relax...and that's pretty much what our weekend consisted of!

Checking out everything with Papa Perkins. :)

One way to relax while the boys are watching golf. :)

Our Thanksgiving spread.

An adorable game of London Bridges. :)

How we spent the rest of Thanksgiving...I love this.

Daddy's girl!

Walking the fairway with Daddy and Papa.

Making taffy with Kylee.

So did you know that in order to pull taffy, you have to slather your hands in butter?! I'm pretty sure Rylie thought that was the coolest part of the whole process. Kylee and her went through an entire stick of butter!

Sampling the taffy...yeah it didn't take her long to figure out that it tasted pretty good. :)

Wrapping her taffy pieces.

Adopt-a-cop Dinner

Once again, we were invited to a fun event at my mom's school (I think her being a preschool teacher is coming in very handy for Rylie!). They hosted a great Adopt-a-cop dinner! Basically, the students from the school had been given a Chandler police officer that they had written a letter to and now they were hosting a dinner for all of the families and any of the police officer's that wanted to come. There was police trucks, motorcycles, dogs...all kinds of fun stuff for the kids to look at and climb through. Rylie thought it was great fun!

Farm Day at Grandma's School

We were invited to come to farm day with my mom's preschool class. Rylie loved the pony ride, thought she loved the petting zoo until she actually got in the petting zoo, loved the hay ride, and especially loved the popcorn and apple juice snack. :) Thank you for including us!

Waiting her turn with the class for the pony ride.

Halloween 2012

This year for Halloween we headed to my uncle and aunt's house, like we do every year, so that Rylie could go trick-or-treating with Tatum and Cayden. She dressed up as Belle from "Beauty and the Beast" and Wrigley was the Beast (yes, we still pick out her costume based on how we can incorporate Wrigley). :) Rylie really got into trick-or-treating this year and had a blast walking around the neighborhood and going door to door. She did enjoy her candy, but it was probably the last year that Daddy and Mommy still enjoyed it more and she didn't really notice. :)

Trying to get a picture with both of them looking at the camera is pretty much impossible...

...apparently with this group as well! :)

So here is a little blast from the past...we have taken Rylie's picture sitting in the same chair every Halloween for the past 3 years. :)
