Sunsplash

My mom and I took Rylie to Sunsplash (a great water park) one afternoon. It did take her a little while to get what was going on and get up the nerve to go down some slides, but once she started, I'm pretty sure she would have stayed there all day!

Farrell's Ice Cream

Before we headed home, we made one more fun stop to eat lunch at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor in Fullerton. Rylie loves this place!

Grayson was a fun as well. :)

After lunch it was time to head home...at least we were chased by this amazing sunset!

San Clemente

We had so much fun at the beach the first day that we decided to go back again! This time we headed down to San Clemente for the day. It didn't take the kids any time to warm up to the water this time around!

Swimming with Dada.

Rylie's favorite thing to do at the beach...build sandcastles.

Nap time!

We decided to eat dinner at Fisherman's, a restaurant that is right on the pier.

Rylie fell asleep on Mimi's shoulder about 10 minutes after we sat down and was out for the entire meal.

We couldn't even get her to wake up to eat peanut butter pie! This beach stuff is exhausting!

Baby Shower for Haylee

The main reason we went to California was to go to Brian, Sheila, and soon to be here little miss Haylee! It was a great day celebrating and we can't wait to meet her!

Their dog, Bentley, had had enough of all of the people so this is where he chose to hang out. :)

Rylie loves her Uncle Ba!

The beautiful Mommy to be!

So on our way home we grabbed some Vince's to go (this is a long tradition for Brandon's family...it is a very yummy spaghetti place that he has been going to since birth) and Grayson got to have his first Vince's experience! He was a fan!

Day at the Wedge

Our first day in California, we headed to one of Brandon's old stomping grounds, the Wedge at Newport Beach. It was a Friday and most schools were not out yet, so the beach was so empty...it was perfect! The kids took a little bit to warm up to the water, but once they did, there was no stopping them.

Love how empty it was!

Sandcastle time!

Showing off her masterpiece.

Grayson wanted to get to them so bad that he finally decided to make the trek. He fell probably 5 times, but kept getting up and finally made it. He was so proud of himself!

I love everything about this!

Rylie's last day of Preschool

It is hard to believe, but Rylie's first year of preschool has come to an end! She did very well at her Spanish school this year and we are so proud of her!

With her teacher's gifts.

So our tradition on the last day of school is to go get a treat and talk about the fun year. This year, we were headed to California right after she got out, so we swung into Starbucks so she could get a beloved cake pop!

Fun memories from her first day of school and her last!

Mother's Day 2014

After Grayson's dedication, a big group of us headed to Brio Tuscan Grille (highly recommend this place if you have never been...and for everyone in Southern California, you are getting one soon at Irvine Spectrum!) for Mother's Day brunch. It was really fun to just relax after so much activity in the previous days. We spent the afternoon at home playing and napping. That evening we headed to my parents house for an amazing meal cooked by the men. :) I love being a mom and am super blessed with an amazing mom and mother-in-law and it was a great day of celebration.

It was so windy, so don't mind our lovely wind-blown hair!

Grayson telling Asher all about how wonderful eating is...

...or better yet, just showing Asher how wonderful it is to eat!
