Grayson's First Couple of Weeks

Grayson is an incredibly easy baby at this point (I wonder if I will look back on this and laugh at some point!). He is super laid back and doesn't seem to get upset that much. If he cries it means he is hungry and that is pretty much it right now! He weighed only 6 lb 1 oz at his first doctors appointment, which was on Tuesday the week we went home (5/14), so we do have to make sure that he is eating often. He also was only 18.5 inches long (gotta love when those cone heads go down!). On Friday (5/17) we went back for a weight check and he was at 6 lb. 3 oz. Brandon's Mom flew in on Tuesday night and was with us for the whole week. It was so nice to have the extra help! By the next Thursday (5/23), Grayson weighed 6 lb. 12 oz, so we no longer had to go back for any more weight checks!

Rylie is doing pretty well with the adjustment, though the real test will be when Mimi goes home. :) She is so excited that she is a big sister and asks to hold him constantly. We love watching her with him as she is so gentle...such a little mommy.

Uncle Jeff flew into town for a super quick trip, but it was so fun that he got to meet Grayson so quickly after his birth. He also spent a lot of time with Rylie, which she loved.  He got some great practice with the whole baby thing for his own son's birth coming up in October! We are super excited that the 2 little cousins will be so close in age.

So my parents bought this cool blow up pool that fits like 2 full size adults! Rylie loves swimming in it and was very excited that both Daddy and Uncle Jeff decided to join her.
